ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jane Philbrick is a digital artist working with language. Her sound and video installations have been exhibited at Consolidated Works, Seattle; Real Art Ways, Hartford (solo exhibition); Dieu Donné, New York; Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, New York (group exhibition in collaboration with Creative Capital) and Bill Maynes Gallery, New York (group and solo exhibitions). Residencies include the MacDowell Colony, the Ragdale Foundation, and the Center for Spoken Language Understanding, Oregon Graduate Institute, where she is artist in residence. Her background is in theatre; her work has been presented in New York, London, and regionally, including Dixon Place, Alice’s Fourth Floor, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Royal Court Theatre, Soho Poly Theatre, and Monstrous Regiment of Women. Her writings have appeared in PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art and Chain.
